At the grand old age of 82, it seems the Queen has decided you're never too old for a style makeover.
After years of being criticised for her stuffy, staid image, she appeared on an official engagement in Slovakia looking younger and cooler than ever.
And what's more, she must have been delighted with her new look as she couldn't stop smiling.

Dressed to impress: In trendy
fur-trim coat and knee-length boots
The Queen is on a three day tour to Slovakia and Slovenia, the first time a British royal has visited the former Communist countries.
Onlookers were treated to a series of stunning outfits that were a complete departure from the Queen's usual style.
Gone were the top-to-toe suits in pink, sky blue or pistachio green that she usually favours; gone were the matching handbags, hats and shoes.
Instead, on this state visit, it was as if the Queen had a completely new vision.
Photographed over the last three days, the Queen has appeared in a series of ever-more fashionable creations,.

P.S. It has been asked before - What DOES she carry in that handbag?
Any suggestions?

I have heard that she carries tiny good-luck charms given to her by close friends and loved ones. Remember the 'uneasy' lines from Henry IV? The fear of an 'accident' is always in the corner of the Royal minds. Fanatiscm is rampant these days.
On a better note, yes, our Queen looks very nice. In fact, it appears as if she enjoys the people of Slovakia and Slovenia. She seems to fit right in. Of course, having a European-Germanic ancestry she actually seems to resemble those peoples she is visiting.
