A NATURIST COUPLE HAVE WON NEARLY £250,000 ON THE NATIONAL LOTTERY

Brian Tucker, 59, and his partner Margaret Dallard, 53, celebrated their win with a visit to their local members-only naturist club, The Invicta Sun Club, near Dover.

Mr Tucker was glued to the Wimbledon men's singles final on July 5 when he realised his numbers had come up.

He said: "I called Maggie in from the next room and told her to have a look. When she said we had five numbers and the bonus I just went barmy, we had to check them six or seven times.

It was not until the cheque was put into their bank account that they told their family and friends their good fortune.

The winning numbers - 2, 12, 22, 26, 28 and 30 - are the same ones that Mr Tucker has used ever since the lottery was launched in 1994, and are the dates of his children's birthdays.

Mr Tucker and Ms Dallard, who are from Romney Marsh in Kent, and have eight children and 13 grandchildren between them, said they plan to share some of their £240,928 with their family.

Ms Dallard, 53, said: "Other than that we will just do the usual things like pay off our mortgage and visit family in Australia."

The pair, who have been together for two years but have known each other for more than 20, will visit family near Melbourne in October to coincide with a birthday celebration.

They both work at Dungeness power station and said they do not plan to give up their jobs despite their windfall and will continue leading the same lifestyle.

Ms Dallard, who has been a naturist for 24 years, said: "We like to go to the club most weekends, and we swim and play tennis there and do all the same sorts of things you would do in your clothes.

"It just feels natural to me, it gives me freedom and I like having an all-over suntan."

She said that despite being relatively new to naturism, her partner is now just as keen on it as she is.

Mr Tucker said: "At the end of the day, when you're talking to someone, you're talking to their face, not their body.
